10. Treffen der European Warriors in Lütz/Mosel
vom 11. bis 13. Juli 2014 

Das kleine Örtchen Lütz in einem Seitental der Mosel war Schauplatz des diesjährigen Treffens der "European Warriors". Wir sind ein lockerer Zusammenschluss von Bikern die diesen phantastischen Powercruiser von Yamaha als ultimatives Motorrad gefunden haben und sich auch nach vielen Jahren nicht davon trennen können. Die Umbauten an den Bikes die mit viel Liebe zum Detail und Kostenaufwand gemacht werden, erstaunen uns jedes Jahr immer wieder.

Zum 10-jährigen Jubiläum konnten wir eine stolze Zahl von 46 Teilnehmern mit 36 Warriors begrüßen. Unsere kleine, feine Gemeinde ist in den letzten Jahren zu einer beeindruckenden Gruppe mit Warriors aus verschiedenen Ländern angewachsen. Neben den deutschen Warriors stellten unsere Freunde aus England mit 13 Teilnehmern das größte Kontigent. Auch unsere treuen Warriors aus der Schweiz waren wieder dabei. Zu unserer Freunde ist auch die Zahl der Warriors aus Ungarn verdoppelt. .Diesmal waren es zwei.* Auch aus Holland haben wieder zwei Warriors den Weg zu uns gefunden. Nachdem wird das ganze Jahr über mit Facebook Kontakte zu Warriors aus Polen, Slovakien und Schweden geknüpft haben, hoffen wir sehr, dass in den nächsten Jahren auch Teilnehmer aus diesen Ländern dabei sind. Das diesjährige lokale Treffen in Ungarn im Juni hat bei den ungarischen Warriors reges Interesse geweckt. Im September wird noch ein lokales Treffen der Warriors aus Slovakien in der hohen Tatra statt finden. Beide Treffen wurden natürlich durch unsere jährlichen europäischen Treffen stimuliert.

Mit der ausgewählten Location, dem Hotel Sonnenblick in Lütz hatten wir wieder mal eine gute Wahl getroffen. Die Feier am Freitag Abend dauerte bis in die Morgenstunden.
Das Wetter war leider durchwachsen, was unsere große Ausfahrt am Samstag bei starken Regenschauern erheblich beinträchtigt hat, aber ein echter Warrior läßt sich durch das Wetter nicht beeindrucken. Kleinere Problemchen - Batterieausfall bei einem der holländischen Warriors - konnten mit vereinten Kräften behoben werden, sodaß der ausgedehnten Abschlussfeier am Samstag Abend nichts im Wege stand. Insgesamt war das Treffen wieder mal ein großer Erfolg und es ist erstaunlich wie viele Warriors in Europa noch gefahren werden. Schließlich wurde der Verkauf hier bereits von 10 Jahre eingestellt.

10th Meeting of the European Warriors in Lütz/Mosel fom July 11th to 13th. 2014

The small town of Lutz in a side-valley beside the Mosel river was the arena of this years meeting of the "European Warriors".
We are a loose community of bikers who found their ultimative joy in riding this fantastic powercuiser from Yamaha and who now will stick to their choice for many years. The individual re-buildings and improvements done to those bikes with love and dedication throughout the years surprise us again and again every year and are the subject of endless conversations.
The 10th year jubilee we said hello to a proud number of 46 participants with 36 Warriors. Our small but nice group of dedicated followers has grown through the years to a remarkable group of Warriors from many different European countries. Beside the large German contingent, our friends from the United Kingdom contributed the largest group with 13 participants, also, our faithful friends from Switzerland again were with us. To our greatest joy the number of Warriors from Hungary has doubled (from one to two). We also had two Warriors from Holland with us.
Throughout the year we have established contact with Warriors from Poland, Slovakia and Sweden and we hope that some of them will find their way to one of our meetings in the years to follow. In Slovakia and Poland, local Warrior meetings are planned as we speak and the local meeting in Hungary, where I had the privilege to attend this year, has made many Hungarian Warriors interested in our European meetings.
The selected location for this years meeting proved to be a good choice. The parties in the evenings lasted until the early morning.
The weather was not so comfortable and heavy showers of rain on the Saturday almost spoiled our rideout (just like in England in 2012).
But a true Warrior will fight the rain. Smaller technical problems on the rideout were solved with combined efforts. A dead battery on one of the Dutch Warriors was replaced and nothing serious hindered the extended final party on Saturday evening. This years meeting again was a success and it is always amazing to see how many Warriors are still on the road in Europe, considering the fact that they were only on sale for a year or two, 12 years ago in many European countries.
